According to Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Ban, Vietnam's tourism industry has experienced through periods of ups and downs, intermingling between difficulties and advantages, opportunities and challenges. However, with the spirit of solidarity and joint efforts of the entire industry, Vietnam's tourism is now gradually approaching its goal of becoming a key economic sector.
Reviewing Ben Tre's tourism over the past 3 decades when the province has gradually approached the targeted tourist brand "Coconut land river ecology", Mr. Ban said Ben Tre was one of 13 provinces in the Mekong Delta, bordering the East Sea and provinces of Tien Giang, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long. It had a fresh climate, an intricate system of canals, a convenient transportation system both by waterway and road, and especially the friendly, hospitable people, he said.

In addition, the program is also an opportunity to join hands to support tourism businesses in the province to continue with business operations, contributing to restoring the growth of tourism in the "new normal" after the Covid-19 epidemic.
